Stop Cropping by Screenshot: Make Square Images Online in Seconds

I have an embarrassing confession.

For years, whenever I needed a square image for a social grid or avatar, I opened the system screenshot tool and dragged a box over the screen. If the box was crooked, I tried again. After several attempts, the final size was still often wrong.

Not elegant. But I did it for far too long.

Eventually I realized cropping an image does not need to be that clumsy.
